Samsung Galaxy S5: The only review you will need.

Samsung has launched their new flagship the Galaxy S5 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. This phone is one of the most popular and hyped smartphone of 2014.

Though it's design, looks and aesthetics are not much new, this phone offers some exciting features and jaw dropping technologies.

First starting with the display it has a AMOLED HD display of 5.1 inch capable of 16million colors. The touchscreen has a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels (431ppi). Samsung has always been known for good displays and this is no exception.

It has dimensions of 142 x 72.5 x 8.1mm and weighs in 145 grams only. The body design is not to boast about but it is sincere.  The design is a reminiscence of the earlier generation S4. Though Samsung have included a note 3 type Faux Leather back panel which is perforated. This makes it look unique. The Galaxy S5 is IP67 certified and is thoroughly waterproof, so you can use it inside your pool or take it out on the beach.

The Galaxy S5 has Snapdragon 801 MSM8974-AC chipset which is very rare version of the Snapdragon 800. This gives them advantage as it meets their clock speed requirements.

Other things on the board are
CPU: 2.5GHz Krait 400
GPU: Adreno 330
RAM: 2GB

It will run on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat out of the box and have 16/32GB storage depending on the version and an expandable microSD slot.

The camera is a 16mp autofocus camera capable of UHD video capturing (2160p). The camera is quite an attraction as it is one of the best in class and has a focusing time of 0.3 second.

The TouchWiz which is Samsung's proprietary UI is also improved and has a flat design and works lighting fast.  For parents it has "Kids Mode," which lets you hand your phone off to your child without the fear of them accessing your personal details or certain content on the Internet.

The main attractions of the Galaxy S5 are the fingerprint scanner and the Heart rate monitor. The fingerprint scanner works fine and is a notch above than others available on the phones in the market. The Heart rate monitor adds to all the premium health applications which Samsung gives you along with it's Galaxy lineup.
It also has some additional sensors like the humidity sensor and temperature sensor.

VERDICT:
We would say that the Galaxy S5 is  nothing like we expected and delivers on quality and brings about lost of new features. This phone is one must try for all the Samsung fans if you can afford it.
Pricing has not yet been revealed but we expect it to range around 700 USD near to 50 thousand Indian Rupees.
