Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 Review

Samsung has always provided enough for the
Low-end Smartphone line-up and the Galaxy S duos 2 is another Example of it.

The Galaxy S duos was launched in Q4 last year and has been pretty successful particularly in India.

Price : Rs 10,600 appx.

The screen size is 480 x 800 pixels, 4.0 inches (~233 ppi pixel density)  which provides good viewing to the eye.
Also, the viewing angles are tremendous. Samsung has been known for producing good LCD screened phones and this one fits well with it.

It has an Internal Memory of 4GB (1.8GB available to user) which is a downside as most of the High-end Gaming experience is denied.
Luckily, it has 64GB expandable memory and "move to SD" option for apps.

The RAM is 768MB which could have been made better by Samsung.

It comes pre-loaded with Samsung Customized TouchWiz UI which has been particularly optimized for the phone.
It runs on Jellybean 4.2 which is a boon for Smartphones in this Price-bracket.

It runs buttery smooth, with minimum or no lag at all.

The Galaxy S duos 2 has a 5 MP main Camera with 2592х1944 pixels resolution and autofocus with LED flash.
The images taken are crisp but videos could have been better. It supports 720p full hd videos.
The Secondary camera is a VGA one but does the job well.

Processor is a Dual Core 1.2Ghz A7 processor which is good for running games and day to day browsing.

OVERALL VERDICT:

Best Android phone in the around 10,000 price bracket.

ALTERNATIVES:

Nokia Lumia 525, Samsung Galaxy Core duos , Moto G.
